             abstract = "Human interferences in the landscape through their uses have the 
                         power to change the hydrogeological system, drainage, as well as 
                         the composition and soil erosion and climate of a particular area. 
                         It is known that with the change of land use have been changes in 
                         the reflectivity of the surface and it interferes directly in the 
                         lower atmosphere the city of Uru{\c{c}}u{\'{\i}}, as well as 
                         several other of Piau{\'{\i}}, has been excelling for the 
                         increase of agricultural production, which expanded dramatically 
                         in recent years. In this application, the objective is the 
                         analysis of the surface temperature of the municipality, through 
                         images of the thermal infrared. This application is used for 
                         analysis and documentation of cases of urban heat islands, as well 
                         as extract data about climate change. Was made a temporal interval 
                         of 10 years, starting from 1985, through the years of 1995, 2005 
                         and 2015. The data required are the thermal infrared images and 
                         the determination of this band by the satellite sensor chosen. For 
                         the production of this study, the satellites were the Landsat 5, 
                         for data between 1985 and 2005, and the Landsat 8, to data from 
                         2015. With image processing was assessed that in a period of 30 
                         years there has been an increase of 5 degrees Celsius in most 
                         parts of the municipality with average temperatures of 30 to 35 
                         degrees Celsius in most of the analysed area and extensive 
                         planting areas, could be registered an increase of up to 10° c.",
